Seatrade Europe and Hamburg Cruise Days are taking place in the same week.

Seatrade Europe from September 10 am until 2pm on September 12. Hamburg Cruise Days from 2pm on September 12 until September 14 (Friday afternoon and the weekend).

By closely linking the two events, we are offering a week in Hamburg focused on the cruise industry.

The events overlap thematically and temporally, creating synergies that are beneficial for you as an exhibitor (and for potentially extending your stay to experience Europe’s largest cruise festival celebrating its 10th edition this year). There will be 8 ocean, expedition and river cruise ships in the Port of Hamburg during Hamburg Cruise Days which attracts cruise enthusiasts, travel agents and cruise lines - many from Germany (Europe’s largest passenger source market) and international too.

Opening Seatrade Europe to a limited number B2C audience on Friday (pre-registered only) allows us to reach a wider audience, which in turn increases the visibility and success of your participation.

We will also open Seatrade Europe to travel trade professionals on Thursday and Friday, which further increases your reach at the event.

In Hamburg, the Hamburg Cruise Days will start on Friday afternoon. With the support of the Hamburg Cruise Days organisers, cruise lines and travel trade professionals, we will promote attendance to Seatrade Europe to cruise enthusiasts that are in the city to experience a full day of cruising. First, by learning more about ports and destinations at Seatrade Europe, and later at the Hamburg waterfront with food, drinks, music, cruise ship visits and much more.

The opening of the event to end consumers means an expanded target audience for you as an exhibitor. You will have the opportunity to maximise your reach and refine your value proposition by engaging not only with industry professionals but also with potential future customers. You can gain valuable insights into how your product is perceived by passengers, allowing you to address their needs and interests more effectively.

Yes, the event remains a B2B event overall. The Destination Discovery Friday is an exception, where end consumers can also visit the fair. There will be no end consumers allowed in the hall on Wednesday and Thursday.

No, the fair will remain open from 10 am to 2 pm.

We expect a higher number of visitors on Friday. However, we will limit end consumer tickets to a maximum number of 500 who have to pre-register as visitors and will be charged €5 each.

Different from the known B2B audience at Seatrade Europe, we expect the B2C audience to be cruise enthusiasts interested in more general information and experiences. Be prepared to answer questions and receive direct feedback from potential passengers looking to visit your destination allowing you to further optimise your offerings. You may want to use visual elements such as videos, images or even virtual reality to capture the interest of B2C visitors.
