Travel from the airport to the Hamburg Fair site is by S-Bahn (rapid transit train), Line S1, which takes about 25 minutes; or by taxi, which takes about 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
From the Airport, take S-Bahn S1 towards Wedel, and get off at Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Change across the platform to take S-Bahn S21 or S31, taking you to Dammtor (1 stop) or Sternschanze (2 stops).
From Dammtor station, it is just a 15 minutes’ walk to the Central Entrance of the Hamburg Fair site.
From Sternschanze station, it is just a 10 minutes’ walk to the Central Entrance.
A single ticket costs around EUR 3. A day ticket costs around EUR 6.00 (9 am day ticket) / EUR 7.50 (All-day ticket) per person.
The normal cost for a taxi from the Airport to Hamburg Fair or CCH is about EUR 20.00. There are no fixed journey prices for taxis in Hamburg.
